Virtual Community-Building Ideas
My list of ideas for building community with your classes. The list has tons of ideas, some of which are pictured below: - an idea for developing class roles and co-creating daily agendas with students. - a digital collage showing my interests. Students would create one as well. - a way to create a virtual class photo, which would be created on a Google slide.
Digital Binders
Some ready-made Google Slides notebooks for implementation in your class. How you implement and grade it is up to you, but I create them ahead of time for each unit, assign work from it each day, and will grade the "My Writing" section, as well as a few of the other pages. - The first is a template for Social Studies and ELA classes, using a spiral scrapbook template from Slidesmania. - The second has a few lessons created for an intro unit to help students understand race, racism, and Black Lives Matter.
Graphic Organizers for Online Teaching & Learning
These are two templates for helping: - you plan your online teaching approach - your students plan their online learning approach
Interactive Syllabus
A sample for creating a colorful and interactive syllabus + a loom video in which I walk students through my syllabus and procedures.
